Elaine Kanelos is the published author of four novels, most recently, a historic memoir, Mail Jumper, The Story of the First Mail Girl. She has also written over two dozen nationally published magazine articles and many business articles. She is currently completing her fifth book, The Bath House, the story of an unplanned journey to Greece and her 'late in life' awakening to life's possibilities.
The granddaughter of the man who created Andes® Candies, maker of the world’s bestselling chocolate mint, the Andes Crème de Menthe, Elaine studiously avoided the family business. Then, as the direct result of her trip to the Bath House, Elaine founded Snow Owl Confectioners, an artisan hot fudge company producing all-natural fudge sauces inspired by her grandfather, Andy, the founder of Andes.
A successful businesswoman, she has spent thirty years leading business development and marketing for national and international commercial architecture and construction companies.
She resides in Colorado where she is a businesswoman, mother, grandmother, runner, writer, and international traveler. She has visited 36 countries and now spends part of every summer in her ancestral village in Greece.
A believer in Doing Good, she is a contributor to many non-profit organizations. In her roles as a business leader, author and business owner, she has appeared on television, radio, and in the press.
